Riding Habit & Hat (RETIRED)

My first riding habit came second hand and was missing the feathers. I really wasn't sure what the original feathers were supposed to look like since I hadn't seen one up close and personal. So I decided to sew some feathers on the way I thought they should be. That's the hat you see in my signature picture.
I just bought my second riding habit, direct from the store and it has the 2 small feathers near the back of the hat that you speak of. It was very disappointing. Needless to say, I will be adding some long swooping feathers to this hat!
I absolutely love my first hat with that fluffy plume of feathers. Would you believe that hat arrived turned completely inside out? I didn't think that was possible! It took me forever to figure out why it looked so funny.
