Lace Dress (retired)

Rebecca's dress on a PM Samantha. Originally I bought this dress for Nellie, as I figured that there was no way it would fit Sam, since she's easily my biggest doll. I tried it on Nellie and she was swimming in fabric. Part of that was probably trying to get the dress to lay correctly (the lace can be a bit tricky if you're not properly caffeinated) and part of it was simply my dress was awfully large. Which would be bad if I had a Rebecca doll, but for Samantha it worked out perfectly. The shoes fit, which I truly did not expect since Sam also has fairly large feet and Mattel shoes almost never fit. The heels don't hamper her ability to stand on carpeted surfaces, but I haven't tried to stand her on my desk.


Please excuse the less than stellar bow. I either tie them very well or it's embarrassingly bad. There is rarely an in between. Poor dolls.

I think the dress looks gorgeous on Sam, but I am a little disappointed that unless I was completely out of my mind the day I tried it on Nellie, that it probably won't fit my smaller dolls. Also, I think the shoes look a little... odd in person.
