Feast Day Finery Item #JBO (D5906) $22 (price increase from $28 to $32 January, 2012) "Instead of celebrating her birthday, Josefina celebrated the feast day of San José, the saint for whom she was named. Dress Josefina in her finest for the festivities: a crisp, white camisa edged with rows of ruffles, a brilliant turquoise skirt with a swirl of appliqué at the hem, and a wide orange sash. The fancy slippers of turquoise satin were a surprise gift from Clara! Weave the red ribbons in Josefina’s hair so she’ll look as elegant as she feels." The camisa to this set is a beautifully ruffled peasant top. It's light weight cotton, but wonderfully made. It closes in the back with velcro The skirt is a lovely shade of turquoise with black silk trim. It's light weight cotton as well. There is a small lime green ribbon sewn at the point where the white skirt top meets the turquoise main section. Very cute and well made. Velcro closure in the back. The turquoise slippers (shoes) are the cutest! They are satin and have a lower edge to the back to represent dancing slippers. Very sweet and well made. They do tend to slip off of her foot if you aren't careful. The orange sash is just a silk ribbon. It is 1 1/4" wide and is 16 1/2" in length. The two red hair ribbons are also just silk ribbons and are 1/4" wide by 10 1/2" in length each. Beautiful set for Josefina. Grade A
