This outfit is worn by Felicity in the book Felicity's Surprise and in the DVD Felicity: An American Girl Adventure. It was introduced in 1991, and was originally sold with 2 bobby pins to attach the pinner cap. These were later removed, and in 1993 a satin hair ribbon was added. The stomacher snaps were replaced with Velcro in 2010, and the item retired with Felicity's archival in 2011.
PC description: This brilliant blue taffeta gown is the one Felicity dreamed of wearing to the Governor's Palace. It's trimmed with blue satin pleating and dainty lace on the sleeves and bodice. Since colonial girls had few clothes, they often freshened up a dress with a new stomacher. Felicity's stomacher has pink ribbons and pearls on it and snaps into the bodice of her gown, creating a new style. The pearl necklace, blue satin hair ribbon, and dainty pinner cap complete the outfit.
Mattel, 2004
The Good: Lots of nice little pieces for the price. Pretty detailing, love that there's 2 stomachers. And I LOVE how it has a huge story. Also like that the shoes in her S&S set match these (with the little blue flowers).
The Bad: Color clashes horribly on M Lissie. Her eyes are such a neon green, and the dress is so blue, they really don't go together well, imo.
