Chocolate Set (EBAC, Pleasant Company): B+ I wasn't really sure about this set for a long time since none of the pieces really look like they match and it was expensive, but when Mattel bought Pleasant Company I knew I had to get it before they had a chance to ruin it. The Chocolate pot is silverplated brass, Made in India. It looks impressive, I love how it looks with all the curves and details and the little finial. However the thing is a nightmare to clean if it gets tarnished and mine is flaking silver so I have sections where it is now brass. I looked into having it replated but the silversmith said it would be a waste of money as the replating wouldn't hold either, something about the quality (or lack thereof) of the brass. The plates are white porcelain with flowers and butterflies on them and gold trim. They look very elegant and delicate and go very nicely on the table. The cups are resin, yellow with pink flowers and green leaves and vines. Mine are the ones with the white insides and twisted handles. Very delicate and very beautiful, the flowers actually look as if they are painted on by hand. The forks and spoons are silver/silverplate and have little scallop shells on the ends on the handles. The napkins are white damask and are just large enough to fold like they are in the pictures. The chocolate mill is just a little wooden paddle with a long handle, but it really completes the set to have it.
