Actually I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this doll. She is considerably smaller than the first version, which I unfortunately gave away. Now I wish I'd just shoved her in the same box with Pamela! The second version is very nicely peg-jointed. I expected that she would be jointed with elastics, as many of the current Hitty style dolls are. So although she is much smaller than I thought she would be, she is well made and, I believe, quite accurate. Very similar to the museum replica pegged doll that was carved by Fred Laughon for sale in Colonial Williamsburg. A!
