Stilting Outfit - 1997 Special Edition (retired)

This outfit is worn by Addy in the short story "Addy Studies Freedom" and is also found in some editions of the book Happy Birthday, Addy!. Released in 1997, retired in 2000.
When the circus came to Philadelphia, everyone gathered to see the parade. Addy’s favorite part was the performer who walked on tall, slender stilts. Poppa used scraps of wood to make stilts that were just Addy’s size and painted them deep red. When Sam saw her practicing he named her Addy “stilt” Walker! Put on Addy’s Purple plaid dress with long puffed sleeves and green plaid trim. It’s perfect for her new pastime because it has a pair of matching bloomers for modesty!
This is one of my favorite AG outfits. I love the indigo color, the contrasting trim and the bloomers that go underneath the dress. It looks comfortable and fun to wear. The stilts are made from heavy wood/plastic type material with elastic holders for her hands and feet. It is difficult to stand Addy with her stilts on, even using a stand. Even so, I give this set A+!
