I have a Mattel wash stand too. I was shocked at how big it is:
And HEAVY. I think I could chuck this at people and, with some great aim, kill them.
If I threw it at someone, it wouldn't break either, because it's built like a mack truck. Very sturdy. Another shot, so you can see:
I don't think it has nails.
My one complaint is that it doesn't match my PM bed as well. (The contrast is worse than in this picture.) I like the night stand on its own a lot, though, and it's probably not something that would have worried Kirsten. She was too busy trying not to get eaten by bears.
