Released in 1993, retired in 2009 with archival.
Button Kirsten’s cozy plaid housecoat over her nightgown. Pull the collar up snugly around her neck—it’s lined underneath with fabric from one of Mama’s aprons! Sturdy hand-felted wool slippers, called sockor in Swedish, keep her feet warm. They’re handmade in Sweden.
Her hosuecoat is made from a very simple lightweight homespun fabric. The collar has a sweet calico print lining the underside and the coat closes with real buttons. The coat is not lined on the inside, it's a housecoat for indoor use only. My only complaint is that the buttons fall off easily and I managed to lose one even though I carefully put it somewhere where I would be able to find it.
The sockar are very thick wool boots and are rather difficult to get on Kirsten's feet.
