Released in 1987 (with Quilt Kit as part of it), modified in 1998 (when Quilt Kit was removed and added to Friendship Quilt & Quilt Kit set), retired in 2007.
For pioneer children, a day without work was a special day indeed. So on her tenth birthday Kirsten was allowed to leave her chores behind and join her friends for a day of fun. Re-create Kirsten's birthday celebration with a hand-carved wooden salt box brimming with field flowers, lots of plump strawberries, and a heart-shaped cake on a wooden platter, just like Mama made.

I really love this set. The saltbox has pretty carved details and notched edges. The strawberries are dark red and they're slightly speckled looking (so it looks like sugared strawberries) and the cake is firm and looks spongy. The flowers look exactly like the flowers that comes with Addy's "Flower Picking Outfit"
