I'm no sure how historically accurate this coat is but, it looks just like the ones that Nellie wore in "Little House on the prairie" which was set during the 1870s.
I live this little set altogether, the toys are really cute and good for taking pictures. The coat is adorable and soft, and the bonnet is so pretty. I'm glad Kirsten finally got something a little fancier.
I also had no trouble getting any of it on my PM-white bodied Kirsten.
