Originally part of Kirsten's Winter Pastimes, then released as a separate item in 2001. Retired with archival in 2009.
Strap on Kirsten’s snowshoes for her long walk across the snow.
Kirsten snowshoes are made from real wood and have leather like straps that buckle around her feet. They are hard to keep on her feet and keep slipping off whenever I pose her. I don't think it's possible to actually use her snowshoes on real snow, but I haven't tried. These are very fragile and can break easily. They look nice for display purposes if that's what you want them for.
I just noticed the leather straps have gotten dried and shriveled being stored in Kirsten's trunk. I'm not sure they will buckle/unbuckle anymore
