This item was released in 1987 and retired in 2008 with the first archival of Samantha's collection.
Named after America's president, "Teddy" Roosevelt, teddy bears were all the rage in 1904. Samantha got hers from Agnes and Agatha, the sophisticated twins from New York City who always had what was new and popular. Your teddy bear is 5 1/2" tall made in England of real mohair, just like the original ones. His arms, legs, and head move, and he comes with a perky pink bow around his neck. Can't you see why Samantha loved him?
Samantha's mohair teddy bear is awesome! I have the PM original version which has a tag on its foot which lists the name of a company in England. It looks and feels exactly like antique mohair teddy bears. Samantha likes the pert pink ribbon around its neck. Grade: A
