I don't think even as a kid I would have enjoyed this, not when there are My Little Ponies out there with better scooters! This looks nice until you pick it up and realize it's kind of cheap. It goes well with the rest of Kit's furniture and its a well thought out piece--I could see many kids in the Depression making things similar--but its still a let down. It isn't as nice as any of Kit's other furniture pieces.
As for Grace fitting on here, I'm sure she could do it, but if she was anything like my childhood pet (beagle and Basset mix) Kiki, she wouldn't have had the patience to keep her head hanging out of the thing for so long, and probably would have been rather uncomfortable. 10 year old girls just aren't that tall or anything, so I would imagine that a dog like Grace--or my dog Kiki, would have felt a tad uncomfortable to have a human almost sitting on them like they are a horse or something.
Well thought out item, I'm sure some girls and collectors will love it, but I'm not one of them. Grade: B for being well thought out and cute in appearance.
