This outfit is associated with the short story, "Molly Takes Flight". It was introduced in 1999 and retired in 2006.
Molly was thrilled that her aunt Eleanor was learning to fly—especially since she got to go along for a ride! On flight day, Molly wore twill khakis and a bomber jacket with the WASP emblem. She tucked her braids under the aviator helmet and wrapped a jaunty scarf around her neck right before takeoff.
Molly’s Aviator Outfit $14 MHO
A+
This set includes Molly's twill khakis, bomber jacket, aviator helmet and scarf.
This is a terrific set, Especially at the current sale price. With this item at risk of retirment, RUN- Go get it while you can.
We do not have Molly, but Kit positively loves it.I think it looks great with Kit's work boots. The jacket and helment are made of a soft leather-like material. The jacket zips up and and then snaps at the top and the bottom.
The helment is made to look like it fastens with a buckle, but there is actually a tiny snap to fasten the chin strap. Once fastened, it looks just like it is really buckled- very cute! The pants are so soft, and nice and roomy for those PM girls.I think the little tan tweed pants could go well with other things too, even for the girls of today.
The silk scarf completes the outfit nicely. Mine, ordered since it went on sale, is marked "Pleasant Company".
A+ for an all around great outfit.
