This item is associated with the book, Molly's Surprise. It was introduced in 1986, modified in 1994, and retired in 2009.
There are always surprises at Christmas, and some of the best ones come in the mail. Open Molly’s big box and find two presents inside. A miniature snowball and the doll of Molly’s dreams dressed as a Red Cross nurse in apron, cape, and cap.

This set is adorable and quite different from the new Mattel set. The nurse doll has long curly light brown hair and the arms cross in front. Also included is a snowglobe that comes with a wooden base. The base varies based on which year the set was purchased. Some sets came with the snowglobe with a dark brown base and a snowman. Some, like mine, came with a red painted wooden base and aa Santa. The nurse and snowglobe come in a cute cardboard box that has replica stamps, a postmark, and mailing label. Adorable and very well made.
