I purchased this revised set at the American Girl Outlet in October 2007. The set is missing the tights and bell. This is a nice weight royal blue velvet. I shied away at first because of the "fur" trim, but it really doesn't look that fur-like in person. The snowflakes have a wonderful little iridescence to them on both the dress trim and on the mary janes. The shoes are the same soft blue velvet, with a hard sole. Overall I feel this gives a nice completed look and is a nice change from the normal red-and green of "Christmas", especially since the blue and white is what we use a lot of in decorating for Solstice, and works for Hanukkah as well, I think.
