Velveteen Coat Set Grade: A Wow, now here's something I would call classic. I got this because I owned a coat just like this as a little girl. Granted, I was 5 and not 10, but still, this is an item that will look good on almost any doll (from any decade) and will still be current in the future. It's also very high quality - it buttons rather than velcroes, and is fully lined. As cute as this outfit is, however, I think it's a little barren considering what you pay for it. It should have come with a furry hat or purse or something. The coat, boots, and useless hair bands just need something else to add a little umph. Pros: * Classic. * The boots are easy on-off, unlike previous JLY boots in this style (read: I Like Your Style boots, or the Winter Fun outfit boots) * Buttons well, well lined, high-quality. Cons: * You don't get a lot for the money. * The hair bands are a little pointless, especially since they are hard to use properly! Loop them twice and they're too loose, loop them three times and they are too tight! * The boots are boring, and look a lot like the Wintry Weekend boots. I would have liked half-boots or something a little more unique. What I'd pay: $22 What it costs: $24 The Book: Can we say boring, and pointless? This book on traditions seems pretty sparse - each page is just a different tradition you and your family may or may not want to have. Like, "Game Tradition - Make Friday night a game night! Play board games and pop popcorn!" Oh, yeah, that's original, thanks! Details: Accessories: A picture of the coat open:
