Addy's trunk is really lovely and I'm very happy to have it now. I give it an A+. The hinged version would be nice but I like to buy Addy things directly from AG so the current one is fine. The wood doesn't feel thin to me at all, it's a solid and sturdy piece. It is larger than I remember it looking in the store, but it's not so large that it will be difficult to find a place for in our home.
it's easy to access the secret compartment, just push down on the left and the right side pops up. Mine came with a little card tucked in the side to explain it. Like skukla I can remove the panel without disturbing the dresses I have put on the tray.
