I have both a Mattel and Pre Mattel version of these dolls. They are both absolutely gorgous. I do find that I prefer the PM's hair. Perhaps it is just mine - maybe I should buy another to know definalety 
- but the Mattel's hair is to thicklyy piled in the front where its hard to do anytihng with except put it up in the half ponytail it comes in.
Retiring?
Seeing Wrxgrls I am almost tempted to get me a 2nd Mattel example.
