2 - med skin, brown hair/eyes, classic RETIRED

I love my Jess so much and wanted a friend for her. I desperately wanted a doll to be Sarita and after much deliberation, I ordered #2. She is a lovely doll, but does not look like what I expected her to and she doesn't look anything like what I wanted for a Sarita. 
To me, #2 doesn't look like a girl from Belize. She doesn't look all that different from the classic dolls; she is more like a suntanned version of the light skinned dolls. She actually made me think of when my dd was little and she had those beautiful suntan Barbie dolls.
I know that AG calls her medium skin, and there are lots of other dolls that they label as medium, but I have yet to find two medium dolls that actually have the same skin color. The medium Bitty Baby was much darker than I expected and #2 was much lighter.
Even though #2 is a beautiful doll, she wasn't what I wanted and I ended up exchanging her for another Jess. Now my Jess has a twin sister which is very nice too even though it doesn't follow her book.
If I was still looking for a Sarita, I would choose #28 and just play that some time had passed since the book and that would explain Sarita's new hairstyle.
