I love the older sled! My favorite part is the foot break - I love that little touch of realism.
That being said, you'd be good with either of them, I'm sure. If realism and PM nostalgia aren't your main concerns, I definitely wouldn't pay major $$$ just to get the old one. The new one is cute and will do just fine. It's just that the older one is cuter.
