I just bought Elizabeth's bed on eBay for $100 - an excellent price, I think, given that it's retired and the new beds from AG cost at least that much. And as it was from a collector, it's in nearly mint condition. 
Being my first purchase of furniture for an 18" doll I was really shocked how huge it is in person!! It is really a substantial piece of furniture. It seems really well made too, with nice wood, snug joints and lovely, high-quality fabrics.
I am sure that DD9 will have me making custom bedding for it in no time at all, but she loves the canopy (what little girl doesn't want a canopy bed?? lol) and I'm sure she will enjoy it for years to come... this is a piece that looks built to last.
Grade: A+
ETA: The mattress is an inch or more shorter than the bed frame itself. With the bedspread on top, it's not really noticeable, but as a perfectionist, this still kind of bothers me, since I can't see any logical reason for it. However I still have to give this piece an A+ since it doesn't bother DD9 a bit, and it's her bed.
