I like this set enough to have purchased two of them without any code! AND I detest pink! So you know the grade is an A.
The satin is soft and doesn't wrinkle. The pj bottoms are a little longer than the AGP pj bottoms (see second photo below) and a bit more generously cut, although I don't think a PM doll would be comfy trying to sleep in them. The slippers are OK. They slide onto a current JLY but they wouldn't fit a PM at all and they might slide off in transit if the doll was being transported somewhere. The floral pattern is so subtle that I forgot it was there.
The reason I bought this in the first place was to steal (and modify) the robe pattern. It appeared to be something I could use kimono silk to make. Because I'm so used to Japanese kimonos on my dolls, it bothers me that this robe wraps and ties the "wrong" way. That is, it ties on the doll's left and I'm used to a fastening on the right. Just a slight cultural glich.
I don't own any of Nicki's clothes, although the tie top and shorts is the most appealing to me of anything in her wardrobe. I will probably get it if there's a code again before the end of the year. If that underneath top is like the pj top, though, I won't be impressed. That ribbed jersey is very hard to sew on without stretching out the hem and the pj top is no exception. It seems to be a little stretched out in the back under the velcro.
If anyone else wants to fool around with the pattern, I would say that the basic design is the same as the denim flower power jumper, with the collar line extended over to make it into a robe. I will probably add more flare to the sleeves in my version, if I ever make one.
I'll use the same pictures here that I used for comparing older and newer JLY dolls. Kasumi (taller, thinner) is a 1-year old JLY4. Pandora (shorter, hazel eyes) is probably a 2002 JLY21 based on her larger feet, shorter build and olive complexion.
The outfit fits both of them but looks slightly different because Kasumi has a longer torso and a smaller waist than Pandora does.
ETA that the Coconut diary is a real little book with blank pages but not many of them.
