This set has so many classic pieces and is great for ‘mix and match’. The set includes: a wool jumper, a long-sleeve shirt, tights, black boots, and a headband.
The jumper is made of real wool and comes down to the doll’s knees. The zipper in front is functional, but there’s also Velcro in the back. The jumper can be worn with a shirt or separately.
The long-sleeve shirt has muted white, pink, brown and grey stripes. It’s quite long and has a mock turtle neck. The only problem with the shirt is that the sleeves don’t reach the doll’s wrists.
The tights are quite heavy and are nicely made. Although they are nicer than most doll tights, they do tend to stretch and pill with time. The tights have colored specks woven in, which add a nice touch.
The black leather boots are also quite nice. They’re like to Kit’s boots, only brown. The bottoms of the boots have the American Girl logo. Like with any American Girl boots, you have to be careful not to tie the laces too tightly or the eyelets will pull through.
The stretchy headband is okay and is made of the same material as the shirt. Unfortunately, it tends to lose its elasticity.
