This set was a "must have" for me as soon as I laid eyes on it. The details and the materials do harken back to Pleasant Company Golden Age historical sets. Parrot and Cage (my Harriet, the DFKAC, lives in 1864, so the 1853 newspaper is bird cage lining) : Book of Awesome (the introduction is written with hieroglyphics, so it works well for Harriet as a bedtime book while Addy reads her Mother Goose book): Magnifying Glass (crappy 100% plastic, just like Samantha's. Samantha's on right, C's on left): Jenny Lind Paper Doll: A note on the paper doll set- when I went to detach the doll, her mouth (hello, opera singer, she needs her mouth!) was cut off. I notified CS and they are sending me a replacement paper doll set. Hopefully this one will include Jenny's mouth attached to her face. All in all, love this set and give it an A!
