Rebecca could be my mini me, except my hair isn't as curly as hers is. She caught my eye one night while I was babysitting. The two girls and I were looking at their AG catalog, and when I turned the page and saw her, I immediately fell in love. it was one of those "I have to have her!" moments. At that time I couldn't really afford her since I was trying to save up for a trip to NYC, and then when I finally had enough money to go on my trip and to buy Rebecca while I was there, Kanani practically begged for me to bring her home instead. :
So Rebecca stayed in New York. But as a surprise from my parents, Rebecca (along with Miss Nellie O'Malley) came to live with me this past Christmas. I couldn't have been more thrilled!
I originally wasn't too fond of the color of her meet dress, but it's been growing on me ever since I took her out of her box. The sleeves are a bit hard to slide over her hands, but otherwise it's very nicely made. She doesn't wear it too often, as she favors her Hanukkah dress, but I have it safely packed away so that if she changes her mind and wants to wear it, it will be like new.
I simply adore the color of her eyes. They're just very beautiful to me. Her wig is a little thin for my liking, but it's easy enough to take care of, so I won't complain too much about it.
Here are a few photos that I snapped of her yesterday (for some reason, my dog likes my dolls and always lays down next to them...she must think they're little people or something, so she's featured as well):
