Kaya was my first historical doll and the most important doll I own. I love her to pieces. I got her for my 10th birthday from my dad who had my aunt get her from the MCM for him. She's somewhere around a first run doll, with the darker skin tone. She is lovely, really. Just don't take out her hair. I did when I was young, and managed just fine, but that's because I was very careful and prepared with my mister and brush at hand.
My Kaya is historical, but I'll put her in modern clothes to see how pretty she looks. I really love her skin tone- wish they would use it more.
