A + This dress is so light and airy, it's perfect for spring or summer. My version of the dress is tagged PC and was an ebay purchase. The outfit as a whole is very pretty to look at, and has several themes that were common during Felicity's period. The pastel lavender color is a good representation of what fancier, fashionable gowns would have been made of. The floral embroidery is beautifully done, and represents the importance of florals in 18th century textiles. The last trend that this dress covers is stripes. During one point of the 1700's, stripes in all colors and patterns were being used to create bold, contrasting gowns. Marie Antoinette would have loved this dress. The choker is actually historically accurate, as there are many portraits of noble women during this period with necklaces made of gathered and ruffled ribbons. The mob cap is made of a sheer, soft broad cloth material, and is edged in a tri- color purple ribbon. My felicity wears this with her hoops, and it certainly works well with them. The skirt is cut very generous on mine. Overall, this is a beautiful piece of felicity's wardrobe. It works as a beautiful, fancy spring dress that isn't too formal, but dressy enough for a party.
