I received Elizabeth's bed and bedding as a Christmas gift in 2005, and it has been my favorite piece of doll furniture ever since. The Bed The bed is dark, finished wood, and when assembled properly, it is quite sturdy. I will caution, though, that the wood is rather weak. I am very gentle with my collection, and I have moved twice with this bed and made sure that it was packed safely. However, a chunk of wood chipped off one of the supports for the canopy. It doesn't bother me since it is hidden, but I would just be careful...particularly when moving. The wood seems rather soft and fragile. Grade: A-
The Bedding I would suggest ironing the bedding on the lowest setting once in a blue moon since the pieces tend to get wrinkled easily. The canopy and bed skirt are the same shade of light blue. Both are fringed, which adds a nice touch. The darker blue of the bedspread and pillow adds a nice contrast. The bedding is thick enough, and I cannot get over how wonderful the colors are. The shades of blue were definitely a selling point for me. Grade: A+
