The concept behind this is great, but I dislike the fact that it is plastic in an era where plastic phonographs wouldn't be. I don't think it was particularly well made.

This desk is just amazing. it's the only one that can hold two dolls side by side. It can hold their supplies as well. It looks so pretty out on display.

A friend has this and I think it's my favorite of the nightstands by far. It has two surfaces for storing things and two towel holders, plus a drawer. It's super well made. I really want to track one down for myself now.

I find this outfit nice, but not particularly unique. It is essentially a red copy of her meet outfit with matching collar. I decided this was one outfit easily made from her patterns in a similar fabric, Finding a nearly identical plaid was easy.

A friend has this. This is probably the only trunk that cab hold a doll's entire collection. I also think it looks absolutely fabulous just on display in a room.

This bed is so pretty with the scrolled design. It is really well made. Like Addy's it seems to be a favorite with pets, LOL

The coat is a lovely royal blue color. The overall design is really nice, but I don't like that the velvet trim at the top does not match the velvet trim at the waist. I also find it clashes with Caroline's beautiful eyes.

A friend has this. This is lovely piece and holds quite a bit. It looks really nice in a scene and mimics really life furniture. The only thing is Felicity's gown get a bit wrinkled.

Now that I've seen this it really is an amazing set and so accurate for the time. It really reminds me of the detail and accuracy of the old PC sets. The paper dolls are darling and the book is great, too. The bird and cage remind me a little of Addy's, Sunny.

A friend has him. I think he is just adorable and has the sweetest face. He looks so sweet standing with Felicity. My Felicity desperately wants one for herself now.

I wanted to get this posted in case anyone else was considering getting the Hogwarts Train during the 4X points promo. If you purchase it on this promo you will get $165 in AG Reward points essentially. The train came today, and I had my husband go outside ASAP and grab it. Sure, I did not like paying the $25 shipping surcharge but I do understand it for this box size. It is BIG. At $550 it is a pricey item, but with the rewards it knocked it down to a price I was willing to pay right now. All of AG's big pieces are usually pricey, and at least getting a train for the cost seems more worth it. The train is a lovely size. For some reason I thought it would be huge, but it does not feel that way to me. Not huge but still cool and usable. I think because it is essentially a rectangle it helps with storing or displaying it. It isn't some odd size that juts out and makes it wider. ALSO, they have a really smart system for using the platform background as part of the train to close it up when it is not in use. The train looks very cool and well made. I will say that it is essentially all plastic, so knowing that does take away from the overall feelings about it. I wish some aspects were wood or metal, but the plastic doesn't make it any less impressive looking in the overall view of it. The flooring carpet is a piece of plastic, but it is so detailed that it does actually look like a rug. I had to touch it to see that it was plastic. The photo cards for the windows are not super clear which is annoying, but once you put them in the window you can't really tell that they aren't clear photos which is good. The Platform 9 3/4 is a bit meh. It's fine. The picture on it shows well. I just wish it wasn't a weird carboard piece and that it was plastic so it would be even more durable. It seems like a bit of an afterthought, but since it does help close the train up I am happy they have a multi purpose for it. The lights and sounds/music on the train are super cool! The train has a lot more sound time than I thought it would. There are two train noise sounds and two songs. One of the songs is just over 30 seconds long. Overall, definitely get it if you want it! It is really cool, and it is my favorite large piece that I own, and that American Girl has done. It can also hold quite a few dolls in a display set up if you are an adult collector. If you do not like Harry Potter, the actual train could be used for so many other storylines because the train is just a beautiful looking train. My daughter bought the Wicked Performance Outfits at AGPNY a couple of days ago. She wasn't sold on them in pictures, but really liked them in person. They have some really nice details. Glinda's whole dress is iridescent. Glinda's shoes have a little heel. Her dress has some tulle underneath, but we used Maryellen's crinoline to give more poof. I will try to add more detailed pictures if I can figure out technical difficulties. ibb.co/nsnqYSK

My daughter bought the Wicked Performance Outfits at AGPNY a couple of days ago. She wasn't sold on them in pictures, but really liked them in person. They have some really nice details. Elphaba's boots are so cute...I was able to get Felicity to stand up in them, but she was not steady enough for display without a stand. Her cape buttons on to the back of the dress shoulder blade level. I will try to add more detailed pictures if I can figure out technical difficulties. ibb.co/nsnqYSK

A friend has this. I have Sam's Nutcracker doll and I think Lydia is just as sweet. Her outfit is a very pretty shade of blue with ribbons and lace. I'm glad AG made this doll because as others have said it really shows Samantha's kind and loving heart which is why her character means so much to me.

A friend has this. This set is absolutely adorable! All the lace and ribbons make it absolutely perfect for Samantha. It is my favorite of the underpinnings. I'm still looking for it at an affordable price though.

A friend has this. It really is a lovely dress. The color is beautiful and looks really nice on Nellie. It was the only BF dress I had considered for myself. The big bow in the back and the hairband are very pretty. The shoes are a nice color also.

A friend has this, and I absolutely love it! It is so period appropriate and makes the cutest display piece for summer. The bike is all metal and the wicker basket is adorable. I wish I had been collecting for myself when this was out.

I debated on adding this one to my collection before prices went through the roof. the dress is a lovely shade and I love the Greek key design. It bothers me immensely that it doesn't go all the way around the dress. I will purchase from an Etsy seamstress who makes the braiding all the way around for a whole lot less money. Now I'm glad I didn't buy it back then.

A friend of mine has this. I think its a lovely piece and works for all of the older historicals, 1930's back. The color is rich and beautiful, and it makes a lovely focal point in a doll scene. It also is a unique piece.

#33 is a very pretty doll. I had here briefly, but then decided to use her wig for my custom Nellie and sell her with Nellie's wig. I'll review just her wig. The wig is thick and gorgeous shade of strawberry blonde. The curls are soft and easy to maintain. I've even brushed them out slightly and they go right back when re-curled.

This doll has such a darling look with her short curly hair and sweet pincurls. A friend owns her and I am really regretting not getting her for myself.

A friend has this doll and I think she is very sweet. The blonde hair/ brown eyes is no longer unique, but her bangs are in how they are styled. She just looks just like a cute little girl.

A friend has this and now I am in love with the blouse! The hat is cute as well. The blouse is just adorable with the puffed sleeves and lace at the cuffs. It would work perfectly for a 1980s girl when the Victorian clothing style was in vogue.

I was able to see this set recently. This set is so 1970's. Even the lunch almost reminds me of what a friend brought each day - a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on Wonder bread, potato chips or corn chips, a Hostess treat of some kind, and an apple. Kool-Aid in the thermos. Not too healthy, LOL
I never had Wonder bread or Hostess. I had homemade cookies or cake.

A friend of mine has this and I was recently able to see it. What a sweet set this is. We still have our 1970s fondue pot except ours was burnt orange. The glasses are just like ones my aunt had and served iced tea in in the summer.

A friend of mine has this and I was recently able to see it. The hibachi is identical to one we had in the 1970s and as a teen would take to the beach in the 1980s. I think I might need to track down the hibachi.

This bike is so adorable looking. I love the lacy design as the chain guard. I'm really considering this now as it looks just like the one I had in the 1980's except mine was blue It even had a wicker basket like this on the front.

This is my daughter's set, but I love it! I love the scalloped design on the collar as well as the cuffs. The loafers are wonderful and have real laces that tie. A super sweet outfit.

A friend of mine has this and I was recently able to see it. The little metal lunch box is so cute and appropriate for an era obsessed with traveling. The embroidered napkin is darling. Unfortunately, the food doesn't look as real as some of the other lunches.
