This piece is part of the holiday collection released in late September 2022. There were several mix-and-match pieces as well as full outfits in the Janie and Jack + American Girl collaboration. I like several of the pieces, including this sweater, and how they can combine with each other. Positives in my opinion include the balance of solid navy color which gives it versatility and the embroidered flowers that give it a unique personality, the simple Velcro strip up the back which makes it easy to dress and undress the doll, the nice quality of the piece, and the mix-and-match potential with other pieces in the collection. My only negative is that I don’t personally love the overall style of the sweater. It’s a little short; it just goes down to the waist, which gives it a nice, fitted look but also leaves open the possibility for a little gap between the bottom of the sweater and the waistband of the skirt or pants that it’s being worn with. Not a deal breaker, but just a little annoyance that brings my overall grade down to about a B- for this piece. Here’s the original website description, along with some photos of the sweater and how it looks with some other pieces of the collection on my 2006 Jess and 2021 Kira. Holidays become a little more magical in this midnight-rose top, designed in collaboration with Janie and Jack. Product features: A Dark Marine sweater-knit top featuring full-puff, three-quarter-length sleeves, ribbed neckline and hemlines, and rose embroidery on the chest. SKU#: HJL06 $14 Close up of the 3/4 length puff sleeve with the ribbed neckline, hemline, and cuffs. Close up of the rose embroidery.

Absolute homerun on this one! Looks exactly like the movie! Since Cinderella has her ballgown on, Elizabeth is wearing this dress and she looks fabulous in it. Dress is pink satin with lighter pink and white satin accents. The shoes are pink satin with light pink bows and accents. There are also the turquoise blue beads, that in the movie the mice recycled from stepsister Drizella. Dress comes with fancy sewing scissors that open and close, a satin ribbon tape measure and the sewing book the mice used in the movie. The book has several printed pages showing necklines, jabots, embroidery, an apron pattern and dress pattern. I think I'm going to make a crinoline for this dress to make it stand out more, but A++.
I did make the crinoline-does really finish off the look.

Such a cute dress!!! My daughter got the Cinderella bundle and since Cinderella is wearing her ballgown, Felicity has the day dress on and it looks really cute on her! Dress has a brown figured velvet bodice that comes to a center point with aqua chiffon sleeves and ruffled trim at neckline. Her hairbow is the same aqua chiffon. The skirt is light brown taffeta with a white taffeta ruffle. She has a white cotton head scarf and white satin apron with a pink patch sewn on it and brown flats with aqua elastic criss cross. Also comes with Jaq and Gus, the mice, (solid flocked plastic). Jaq stands straight, balanced by his tail, Gus is also balanced by his tail, but leans backwards like he is taking a step. Great interpretation of the film dress!!!! A+
I felt no self-respecting Disney Princess would be stepping out without the proper undergarments, so I made her a white cotton slip.

Cinderella came to live here today! Very pretty doll. Her vinyl is more of a peachy color...she is standing between 2003 Felicity and Elizabeth who have her other outfits on. Their vinyl looks more olive toned in comparison. I always wish they'd make her dress white, like the movie, but this one looks the part. The skirt is a stiff sparkly taffeta. She wears blue underwear and her glass slippers have a blue rhinestone with 2 smaller clear rhinestones on either side as a decoration. Her hair is in the classic up-do, and my daughter (who is a collector) does not intend to take it down as she has heard it is difficult to recreate...wrapped and tucked the hair net around it to keep it neat. A+.

Since I last reviewed this I have purchased Felicity's bed warmer. It is a wonderfully made piece. The handle is carved wood and the metal portion is brass. It's a great display piece on my new canopy bed. Canopy bed and bedwarmer by Laura *, on Flickr

I finally bought these pleated shorts. I had a pair just them as a teen also in turquoise although I think mine were a bit longer. I love these. they are really well made with functional pockets even though an AG can put her hand into them. They have belt loops and are a heavy cotton twill. Unfortunately my CYO tee is put away and not handy so my Milagros in her Feast Day camisa will have to do. Does anyone have measurements for her bed? It's on my wishlist and what to make sure the shelves I am considering are the correct size. Just came across this and if you are still wanting the measurements they are: Bed 21 1/2" long 10 1/2" wide 23 1/2" tall at the middle point

I don't have the Slumber Shirt, but here's a photo of my Mini Miss AG Bear, with a 1996-tagged nightie: flic.kr/p/2pwQxQz(Just FYI, the bear in the first photo in this thread is actually Bitty Bear)

I only have the shirt for this outfit, bought used from eBay (the original owner purchased it in 1991 according to the listing) I made my own pair of navy blue corduroys to go with it, and pair it with Molly’s Saddle Oxfords as shown in her illustrations. The shirt is adorable! I love the tiny buttons and the cozy flannel that works just as well for modern and historical outfits. It fits my PM Molly very well, although the sleeves are a tiny bit snug at the wrists. I give it an A+

I picked this up with birthday rewards/silver reward last year. Felicity is my only historical who kept her canon name so although I loved the Samantha and Josefina ones as well Felicity was the only one who made sense to buy. The stickers are vinyl and brightly colored. The come with a Meet Felicity book image, a faceless Felicity image, and an American Girl log Est, 1986 image. Cost is $8. I just purchased a Mini Miss AG Bear with a 1996-tagged nightshirt, and I'm delighted to add her to my collection. Her fur and nightie are soft and cuddly, her expression is sweet, and I love that her arms and legs are jointed, too. She's just adorable!

In my earlier review, I talked about how roomy the overalls are in this set and speculated that they might even fit my big PC doll. I wanted to circle back around to this, since I recently tried them on my big-bodied early release Josefina from the late 1990s. They do go on okay, although the fit is a bit snug. They’re particularly snug vertically on the torso (I don’t know what the measurement is called that goes under the crotch and around over the shoulder), but because there’s not a way to loosen the straps, there’s not a way to change this. In general, the overalls are fine for standing up in. Sitting down is possible but tricky, so they're probably not generally a good pick for these large bodied dolls if mobility is important. I still give the overalls a solid A/A-. (In this photo, I paired the overalls with other contemporaneous 1999ish pieces - a white thermal top from the 2001 Camping Outfit and the boots from the 1998 Riding Outfit. In fairness, a thinner top might allow just a tiny bit more room to make sitting easier, but since Josefina is already going commando here, I don't think it would make a substantial difference. Evie, who's next to Josefina, is wearing the 1999 Plaid Skirt and Sweater Outfit, which makes her look equally as huge as PC Jpsefina ... but that's an illusion due to the bulky sweater and platform shoes.)

Evette's Accessories are currently half off (only $18), so of course I picked them up when I purchased Evette earlier this week! Here's the description: Evette loves thrift shopping and upcycled fashion, and she’s always on the lookout for something a little special, like the items in this set: A collarless cropped striped denim jacket with floral embroidery on the front A faux-suede crossbody purse with bumblebee embroidery on the front flap and tassels A pair of retro-inspired cat-eye sunglasses with ombre lenses I like all of the accessories, but the jacket is my favorite piece! It's very cute, nicely made, and goes really well with Evette's meet outfit. I like the blue and white (or off-white?) pinstripes and the floral embroidery on both sides of the front, which is supposed to have been done by Evette herself. I think the greens, blues, whites, and pink/corals of the floral embroidery are pretty and seem versatile enough to go with other ensembles, too, so the jacket isn't limited to just this outfit. The two side pockets are faux, but the four silver-colored buttons that go up the front are real. Even though Evette's meet dress has long sleeves, the jacket goes on easily. I didn't have any difficulty getting the cuffs over Evette's hands, and the dress sleeves didn't look like they were bunched up under the jacket. Yay! However, when buttoning the jacket, I did have trouble buttoning the last button (closest to the waist), and after a few minutes, I just gave up on it. I don't know if that's something other people have had difficulty with or if it's just mine. I'll give the jacket an A- (docked just a little because of the bottom button, but otherwise I really like it). The purse is cute. It's about 2 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall, and a saddle-brown vinyl with a gold bee embroidered on the flap, plus a brown tassel and white tassel dangling from the closure. I like it as a crossbody purse, but it seemed just a little tight to wear it like that when Evette was wearing her jacket, so it became an over-the-shoulder purse when wearing her jacket. It closes with velcro, and it seems like it would be big enough to carry something inside (maybe a thin scarf or pretend cell phone). I give this a B only because it's so obviously vinyl and because a slightly longer strap would've worked better over the jacket. I agree with the last poster about how well the cream colored sunglasses and ombre lenses go with Evette's coloring! They're also especially functional in helping to hold her hair back, and they're all kinds of cute whether she's wearing them on her face or head. The sunglasses get an A from me. My only disappointment with the set is that there are two necklaces that figure prominently in Evette's book - a silver heart-shaped necklace sent to her by her Grandma Peeters during the pandemic ("We may be apart, but we're always close in heart"), and a locket with an umoja symbol given to her by her Gran E during Kwanzaa ("Promise always to seek umoja: unity in the family, community, nation, and race"). Both are really important to Evette and her story, and I would have really liked to see them in the accessory set. Still, in spite of the points I mentioned, for only $18 (the price I paid), my overall grade for the entire accessory set is an A. All of the pieces are really cute and go especially well with Evette, but they're also clearly versatile enough to go with other dolls and other outfits. At the original price, I probably would have given the set a B or B+.

This skirt is darling. I love the little embroidered hearts woven into the fabric and the heart trim is just beautiful not to mention the rows of ruffles. Milagros doing the honors. Screenshot 2023-12-29 163711 by Laura *, on Flickr

Evette is such an appealing doll! She's currently on sale for $65 and will very likely disappear soon, so I couldn't resist bringing her home while I had the chance. There are already great reviews of her, so I'm just going to add a few more photos. First, here she is out of the box. AG's official description no longer says her hair comes "in a half up style," and sure enough, once you take the hairnet out, her hair falls naturally around her shoulders. I don't know if the earlier versions of Evette came with her hair partially up, or if that part of the description was a mistake. I agree with what's already been said about good quality body fabric (no annoying neck wrinkles), zip tie, grey eyes, and painted lashes. I really like her subtle freckles, too. I think the dress is cute and hangs well but is definitely on the short side. I think it might look a little better if it were just a quarter inch longer, or if it were worn with taller boots. Other than that, I like it. I like the long sleeves with elastic cuffs and the double bands of lace trim, the little flounce at the bottom of the skirt, and the v-neck (which I didn't initially realize is a separate piece of fabric from the bodice). I also like the belt, which I think it well-proportioned for this outfit. V-neck dress: Crocheted lace on sleeves: Close up of dress fabric: I'm not really a fan of the boots. The color is okay (and the flowers do echo the flowers of the dress), but they're lightweight and just don't really appeal to me. I would have preferred them to be taller, or even better, if AG had packaged her with the platform shoes that are mentioned prominently in Evette's book. Overall I really like the doll and think she's a great deal and an easy A at $65. I'm excited to see what kind of personality she takes on at this house, and what she might look like if she time travels to different historical periods, although I'll undoubtedly keep some of the core parts of her personality the same, too! ETA: My intention is that Evie might time travel to different periods here. So far she’s only visited the 1990s, but I think she looks right at home in the plaid skirt and sweater outfit. I may add other photos as she visits other decades.

I was absolutely ecstatic to come across one of these. Probably haven't seen one in person since they were sold at Hallmark. I got mine for $20, which is excellent considering it still has the tags and plant!

I no longer have this doll, but about a year ago I wrote up a review comparing her to a couple of the fabric-bodied mini-Molly dolls that I also had at the time. The entire write-up is over in Molly's section, but I'll copy over some of the relevant parts here ... Here they are all together. The first two have fabric bodies and painted eyes, and Courtney's Pleasant Company Doll is on the right. This first one is from about 2000-2002. This next one seems to be from about 2015. I think this one is really cute. In comparison to these two, Courtney's Pleasant Company Doll stands just a bit taller. Her face seems to be a bit more oblong-shaped, and her bangs are straighter and lay flatter along her forehead. In looking at her eyes, they're a little more rounded at the corners, have less detail painted in the irises, and her eyelashes have a different pattern than both of my earlier fabric-bodied mini Molly dolls. I think there's something a little less friendly-looking about her (maybe a missing sparkle in her eye?), but that's just my opinion and she's still pretty cute. Her neck doesn't have either a PC or AG imprint, although I think there is some kind of imprint on her vinyl lower back or bum area. Even though Courtney's PC Doll has an all-vinyl body, the outfits for all three of these dolls are similar. Like the others, this doll's sweater has the blue and red argyle design with green accent threads, solid blue sleeves and back, and attached white collar with the embroidered zigzag design. It looks virtually the same from the front (the zigzags on the collar might just be a touch closer together?), but the back has a long strip of the no-snag Velcro which extends almost to the bottom of the sweater. The very bottom is still sewn together, so the sweater will still need to be pulled over Molly's head, but this bigger opening should make it much easier to do so. There are two labels sewn into the inside side seam of the sweater; one is the American Girl branding tag and the other has the code 1600NF. Courtney’s PC Doll is on the right in the following photos. The skirt on Courtney's Pleasant Company Doll also looks very similar to the others, but it also has differences worth mentioning. First, it seems to be made from a thinner material, so the hems and seams have less bulk. Second, whereas the two other skirts that I have each have a separate waistband and two seams (one seam with a Velcro closure and one on the opposite side of the skirt), Courtney's PC Doll skirt has an elastic waistline and only one seam. This doll also has two labels sewn in the skirt's side seam; matching the sweater, one is the American Girl brand tag and the other has the code 1600NF. I don't see any care instructions on the clothing labels for Courtney's PC Doll. Finally, I haven't completely undressed this doll so can't speak much to the bloomers (at quick glance they appear to be the same or similar to other versions), but I did take a couple photos of the socks and shoes so you can see the comparison. Courtney's PC Doll came with plastic glasses that I never took out of their package, and also a parchment colored mini paper back book. Unlike the other dolls' books that I have, the back of this book seemed to have some special markings that showed it's a mini-book and not just a scaled down facsimile of the bigger books. The inside seems to similarly contain just a couple of chapters, but this mini-book doesn't have a title page at all - It just goes right into Chapter 1: Turnips! Overall, I really like the idea of Courtney's Pleasant Company Doll. It's a great little time warp feature, and I like the packaging that Tiff02 shows so clearly in the first review, especially the inclusion of the Pleasant Company catalog and how easy it is to unwrap the Velcro ribbon that's around the box. The actual doll was fine but not my favorite, and I guess I'm kind of curious about whether the other vinyl bodied mini dolls have a similar look. If I had really wanted to keep this piece, I might have replaced the doll with my more sparkly-eyed fabric-bodied one. Ultimately I decided it wasn't for me.

With so many pieces in Kaya's collection retiring recently, I decided to stop by the store today and pick up Tatlo before he's gone. I already have two earlier Tatlos, both purchased new with the travois back in about 2017. Like most things, though, Tatlo has evolved over time, and I like the most recent version even better - especially since I already have the travois! All of the Tatlos that I have have plush bodies without any armature wires. They're all soft and pretty cute in my opinion, but the 2017ish versions do have a goofier facial expression. They have prominent light colored circles around their eyes and the dark streak down their muzzles, and while 2023 Tatlo also has these markings, the transition is a little less harsh. 2023 Tatlo also has an endearing tilt to his head, as if he just heard something or is thinking something over, rather than just standing there looking worried or goofy. (2023 Tatlo is on the far right) The 2023 Tatlo is a little chonkier that the 2017ish version, and one of the things I noticed first (and that helped convince me I needed another Tatlo in the pack) is that this guy's tail curves up and he carries it over his back, just like the much-loved malamutes I lived with for many years. My other Tatlos have tails that stick out and curve a little to one side or the other, but they don't curve up over their backs. (From reading descriptions and seeing pictures of the earlier armatured versions, it looks like this may have been a possibility with the earliest Tatlos, just not the ones in the interim.) (2023 Tatlo is on the far right in these pics, too.) At some point I'll try out the travois on this guy; I haven't done it yet, so can't speak to whether it works just as well on him as on the earlier Tatlos. But at the very least, he makes a good companion, and I'm glad he joined our pack!

Moved from another thread for the clear visual of eye color and other comments: Here is my Silver. I'm not going to unbox her until Christmas, so I don't know the quality of her wig. But I am really happy with her. I still don't care for the glittery lip color, but other than that I love her. The earring on her right ear became tangled in her hair and hair net during shipping, so I think that's something to be aware of. It took me a very long time to carefully untangle and I hope it won't be an issue when displaying or playing with her. I ordered her through my personal shopper, who sent photos of three dolls to choose from. She always does a great job of picking dolls for me.

Girls and their dolls can brighten any outfit with a touch of sparkle! These matching hairbows feature silver sequins. $12.00
This is the review for the doll version. Just smaller. Still a nice sturdy metal clip. Looks very cute and is nicely proportioned to them. Link to the girl version of the bow here.

Got this set on sale end of year 2022 for $10. I am pleasantly surprised. The clips on the back are the good metal claws that really clam down. So they're more sturdy than a plastic claw and can hold more hair than a few strands as well. The sequins don't seem like they'd come off easily, but the bow is not as stiff as I would have expected, but it shouldn't loose shape easily. Will also be co-listing the doll version under AGOT item reviews, here.

She's absolutely stunning. She does have the palest skin, I only know this because my CYO mini-me has the palest skin, and they are the same shade. Her hair had a hairnet around her curls( which needed to be cut off, since it was wrapped around one of her twists. And another one around her bun (which I haven't taken off yet). Her eyelid glitter is light, and seems to be lower than Jasmine's glitter, but still up high enough to see when her eyes are open. Her dress is very well made and is high quality. And I love her matching yellow undies. I haven't removed her gloves yet, but I'm sure I will change her into street clothes later today or later this week. Her feet don't have anything on them...no star, no signature, etc. Rapunzel arrived today so now I have my two girls. Rapunzel is lovely and Belle is simply gorgeous. My Belle: I’m so in love with this doll!! She’s perfect.

AG does need to hear from folks who ordered on 7/31 and have yet to receive their dolls. Probably because I called them out on their failed advertising promise, I received my Rapunzel within 2 days of shipping notice. Rapunzel arrived today so now I have my two girls. Rapunzel is lovely and Belle is simply gorgeous. I bought a Rapunzel doll in Orlando store today, an impulse purchase after seeing it sold out online. The store doesn’t really have Disney dolls on display. A saleswoman picked up two dolls in the back and let me choose one. Though I am not a big fan of MG mold, she is just stunning in person. If her price is tripled later this year, I may still let her go.
