Light skin, black-brown hair, blue eyesYour girl can create a unique personality for her My American GirlĀ® doll! This doll is 18" tall, with blue eyes that open and close. She has light skin and layered black-brown hair that can be styled, and she has a huggable cloth body. Plus, she arrives with a True Spirit Outfit and a charm-keeper necklace.DSC_0112 by hockeypensgal, on Flickr DSC_0113 by hockeypensgal, on Flickr DSC_0123 by hockeypensgal, on Flickr I looked at Ms. #60 closely while I was in LA. She is very similar in construction to #39 and #59 - light skinned classic mold, same style wig. She has hair that is more on the black side than the brown side, similar to #25 and #54. Her wig is very smooth and silky with the layers. Given the wig similarity to #39, I am guessing the same issues will come out for some people - too silky to handle, random hairs sticking out of braids, etc. None of the dolls I saw had their hair in braids. To me, she did not remind me very much of Chrissa, but more so of a light skinned #49 or rather a blue eyed #25. She has the standard light blue eyes. She seems that she would hold well to play, and I did not see any noticeable issues with this doll overall. She is perhaps a bit more unique than #59 since you do not too often see AG bring out very dark haired dolls with light eyes.

Here are some pictures of my new #60. I found her wig to be a bit more coarse in texture compared to #25. The color is very similar (if not the same) as #25 and the newly retired #14. Beautiful eyes and I think she'll be one of those dolls that looks good in any color.

Ever since I saw Miss #60 at AGPLA, I could not stop thinking about her. After selling some items here, I had the money to purchase her, and Cassia arrived today. I am very pleased with the doll. Even though I told myself no more classic molds, the striking combination of her black-brown hair with blue eyes just stood out to me. In addition, I very much wanted a doll with a low maintenance wig to be my traveling doll. Face paint:I really am pleased with the face paint. She has a natural looking, light touch of blush on her cheeks, and her lips are an appropriate pink shade that does not get washed out by her dark hair. Eyes:Her eyes are what AG states to be blue, but for some reason, my doll looks like her blue eyes are a bit more vibrant that the doll I looked at in LA. Perhaps it is just that particular batch of eyes, as even compared to McKenna (see below), they seem the slightest more vibrant. They look gorgeous with her dark wig. Wig:AG states her wig to be black-brown, so I compared her to Catharine (#54). While the two types of hair color strands are indeed similar (black and brown), #60's wig has the brown more evenly dispersed throughout the wig, while Catharine has noticeable streaks of brown throughout her hair. The feeling of the hair between the two dolls does not exactly seem the same. So I am not sure if it is just a batch difference or if indeed different types of hair are being used. The part is a sewn part. The wig is a good thickness, and does not seem like it would tangle easily. I tried a single and double braids. The shortest layer framing her face simply was too short to go in the single braid in the back, and stuck out in the pigtail braids. But otherwise, the hair is long enough for braiding, and I imagine many other hair styles. Overall, I give the doll a resounding A+. I am very pleased with this doll, and as agfanfrombeginning mentioned, she will look great in every color. While wigs with red hues pose issues for red-colored clothing and blonde-haired dolls pose issues with yellow-colored clothing, her dark hair provides no possible clashing that I can think of. In addition, her light eyes help offset when she will be dressed in dark-colored clothing. I also want to add that #60 will make a great starter doll. Her wig is straight, hence easy to maintain and is long enough for hair-dos; two common features that I think parents and little girls want. A few pictures. Not the best, since it is storming outside, but I will take more when the weather is more cooperative. My #60 just arrived yesterday, and I am so happy with her!
Meet Outfit: I still think the True Spirit outfit looks like a bomb went off in a kid's store, but separately it looks good. B
Doll: She is such a vision to behold, her hair/eye combo is gorgeous, her skin tone isn't bad at all, and she seems to look great in everything. Her hair is really silky and definitely seems more black than brown, the layers will pose an issue when it comes to styling, but that was to be expected. Her eyes are the same sapphire blue that McKenna has, and really pop next to the dark tone of her hair. Mine came with no issues whatsoever, and I am very pleased with her, so I give her an A+
Overall: With the terrible meet, A

This is Dakota. I purchased her at the AGP Chicago right after she was released in 2013. I love her dark hair, blue eye combo. You don't see that too often in AG dolls. She is a great doll!
