Isabelle's Coral Sweater for Dolls Item# F7353 The dance studio can be a little chilly during rehearsals, so Isabelle wears her coral sweater to warm up. Perfect for layering, it features a wide boatneck, asymmetrical hem, and long sleeves with thumbholes. $14 I was a little skeptical about the asymmetrical hem, but it is growing on me. I just love this color, and I think it will look good on pretty much any doll. The fabric is sadly not soft at all- it is scratchy and sticks to itself like velcro (I felt the girl sized version, which seemed softer than the doll one). I could fit her left hand through the sleeve without the thumbhole, but the right hand doesn't fit because of the way the pinky finger is a little further away from the other fingers on the right hand. It is not too sheer to wear without anything underneath, but if you put something dark or bright white underneath, you can see through it a little, such as the tag that shows through a bit in the back. I give it an A- overall because of the scratchy yarn, but A+ for looks!

I absolutely love this sweater! I don't think it's scratchy, although I wouldn't call it soft either. It's a pretty shade that looks great with Isabella's coloring, although I think it'd look nice on any doll.
It's a little sheer but you can get away with wearing nothing under if you wanted. It's really just sheer enough to tell if there is something under it, like a cami or leotard. I wish it were more sheer actually - I love the layered look. I'll probably put something dark under it to make it look more sheer than it is.
The little tag with her name makes it look like it's a designer sweater or something.
I give it an A- overall. I wish it were more sheer. For what it is though I quite like it.

When I first opened it up in the store, my heart sank a bit when I felt the fabric. But I still love the look! It's quite darling. There is an Isabelle tag on the front, though it's not obnoxiously placed. As others have stated, it's a bit sheer, but since the doll's torso is a neutral color, you can get away with putting it on without anything under it. When I first saw Isabelle's collection, I knew I wanted the Coral Sweater. I am really glad I got it because I think it is a cute piece with many possibilities.
The Sweater: I do agree with most people; the sweater isn't very soft as I had imagined it would be. However, I wouldn't not get this piece because of that. Overall, I really like it. That would be my only complaint. I give this sweater an A.

Isabelle's Coral Sweater for Dolls - $14 Item# F7353 The dance studio can be a little chilly during rehearsals, so Isabelle wears her coral sweater to warm up. Perfect for layering, it features a wide boatneck, asymmetrical hem, and long sleeves with thumbholes.
I purchased Isabelle's Coral Sweater at AGP DC around 10:30am on January 1.
Overall: B+ Pros: I really love the style and color of the sweater and I adore the little thumbholes! Cons:...But I hate the fabric. I was very disappointed that it isn't softer. As someone else mentioned, it sticks to itself like velcro. It is also a bit see through, but not too bad. I feel it's a tad bit overpriced. Still, it's a cute piece and will definitely be worn by my Isabelle a lot.

I picked this up at AGB-Boston (almost didn't get it until I saw it on a Caroline display table, along with a few other Isabelle pieces). I agree with others that the sweater is not as soft a knit as some other sweaters. Aside from that, it's a pretty color and a nice, casual piece to add to any modern collection. I like the asymmetrical hem. I also like that it's sheer yet not so much that it can't be worn alone. The sweater has the thinner velcro. The cons for me would be that it feels a little tight around the neckline. It also feels a tad tighter on the left sleeve, when I move my doll's arm up. Overall, I would give this sweater a B+/A-. Here is Olive (fka McKenna) wearing the sweater under her Fancy Dress. Olive does a dance pose:

Grade: AI absolutely adore this sweater! It is definitely something I would wear. The moment I saw it in the catalog, I knew it was coming home with me. This sweater is such a beautiful coral color and it looks wonderful on Isabelle (and all of my other dolls, too!). I love the little thumb holes in the sleeves. The fabric is a little scratchy, but it is not too bad. The only thing that I don't love about this sweater was that it was $ 14, but to me it was worth it to have this piece in my collection. As others have said, the sweater is sheer and stiff. You can see through it if you hold it up to the light or daylight window. Clearly intended to be worn over a leotard or cami as someone said. Any bulky tee shirts or dark colored anything will interfere with the look.
Mine was not well constructed for the $14, Loose threads, the first time I've had more than one on a new AG wardrobe piece.
The pluses? The color is lovely. I do love that coral. The thumbholes an extra touch and the slanted hem makes it a bit different.Love the boatneck. Worn over a white, beige, pale pink or like color leotard or tight shell, it's the perfect piece.

I returned mine due to it being poorly constructed. As a seamstress I give it a C. Pros: The color was nice. I loved the thumb holes.
Cons: A tad too expensive. The neckline seam was about to bust when velcroed in the back. The material is itchy. Too sheer. The Velcro will pull a d snag that sweater to pieces.

As soon as I got home from the store on Jan 1st, I realized that I should have bought this sweater. I love the color and the look. I was a little disconcerted by the reports on here that it was scratchy.
I felt the display piece in the store today and was pleasantly surprised the feel. It isn't snuggly soft, but not scratchy either. Of course, when I opened mine, it was scratchy. I think that with handling, it will lose some of that scratchy feeling. At least, I hope. Doesn't matter, I love it anyway.
I do find the neckline a little close to the neck for the rose on the roseate Leo to poke out. It is quite a stretch. I love the thumb holes, the color and the asymmetrical hemline.
Overall, I give it a solid A. Taking off for initial feel of fabric.

I love the color and the style. Something definitely needs to be worn under it, or something of neutral coloring. I hated how there were little strings left all over it when I took it out of the box. For 30% off= $9, would buy again.

I love the coral sweater for being on trend. I see girls in my barre class wearing tops like these (over their tank tops) all the time. Isabelle looks great in it. I give it an A.
