This outfit is worn by Felicity in the book Changes for Felicity. It was introduced in 1991 and retired with Felicity's archival in 2010.PC description: Felicity's night shift is edged with lace around the sleeves and neck. The matching lappet cap has long flaps, called "lappets," that tie under her chin. To keep her feet warm on her bedroom's bare wooden floor, Felicity wore soft leather slippers called "mules."Grade: A - This is a sweet and historically accurate outfit for Felicity. It's not too over the top, and seems realistic to her time. Plus, there are nice details, like the ribbon that allows you to gather the bodice. However, the mules are a little over-simplistic, and even a bit flimsy. The outfit is boring - yes, white was realistic, but does everything have to be pure white? I wish they had added just a little bit of embroidery or detail somewhere in this outfit. For example, the lace could have been an off-white cream or something along those lines.

Felicity's nightshift is a very pretty nightgown with delicate lace trim at the neck and the sleeves. I like the drawstring neck, which is tied with a silky ribbon. The cap has a ruffled edge and lappets to keep Felicity's ears warm. It ties under her chin with the same type of ribbon as her nightshift. The mules feel like real leather (PM versions) are are super soft. They barely fit over her meet stockings though.
Grade: A

This set is very sweet and historically accurate. I like that the nightshift has a gathered neck and lace trim. The lappet cap is a nice touch, as are the mules. Mine are Mattel, but they also feel like real leather (purchased in 2005). They don't, however, like to stay on Lissie's feet very well. Grade: A (Note: Elizabeth is wearing an extra lappet cap that I have, but with Felicity's revised meet shift.)

I think I would have preferred it had AG NOT make a nightshift for Felicity, and let her sleep in her Meet shift, because this nightshift seems unnecessary. There's not much to it. The cap is sweet enough, and the mules are dear but never stay on properly. AG could have cut corners and given a nightcap and mules and called it a day, and I'd have been just as happy. The whole thing rates a C grade from me. There are a lot better things to spend money on to finish off a Felicity collection. Skip this and get Elizabeth's sleepwear, or else use Lissie's Meet shift and add a mob cap for sleeping.

I got this set cheap because while it was NiB, there was a stain on the shift that came off easily. Its simple but adorable. I know its not exactly historically accurate, but I’ll overlook that due to cuteness. A bit sheer, but since Lissie is a doll its fine. I have had no issues with her mules staying on, I have a Mattel version so not sure if they were a different material or if I’m just lucky. http://instagram.com/p/Coc7nwoPfGZ

My favorite of the historical nightgowns. The nightgown is trimmed in lace and the leather mules are soft. My favorite is the darling lappet cap with its ruffles. it makes Felicity's sweet face stand out.
