This was one items I purchased immediately, since I collect for Addy, and love the color blue.
Here is the dress on my PM Addy (1995), and there is no problem at all with the fit.
The dress is made of a cotton calico material. For some reason, I thought the material was going to be shiny, based on initial images, but it is a practical material that works well on Addy. The trim goes all the way to the back.
The belt part is a separate layer in the front, and may need adjusting after putting the dress on the doll.
The drawers are the standard drawers, similar to Cécile's and Marie-Grace's but with a different lace trim.
The white socks are a medium weight, and thicker than Cécile's or Marie-Grace's. They are not as tall as Addy's original black stockings though.
The boots velcro in the back, as with all AG boots. They have a slight kitten heel. My PM Addy struggled a bit to get them on her feet, and when standing, she looks like someone wearing heels for the first time - her hips have to be shifted slightly forward to balance her properly.
Overall, I like this outfit a lot. It is a bit fancier in design than Addy's original, but I think very plausible as a hand-me-down that Miss Caroline may have had stashed away. The short sleeves also seem to be in reason, given Addy and her mom were escaping from a warmer weather South Carolina.
I definitely recommend the outfit, as I think the blue color will look stunning on all dolls. A+
