Fun set! I'm glad we found these locally. Too bad they aren't widely available. There is so much included! The Friends Forever book is 60 pages long and not only has real pet information and ideas, but craft ideas for your new doll pet too! (book item #BKJ18-RB1A $8.99) The house is thick cardboard and requires coloring and assembling. The dog dishes & purse toy are hard plastic. She can bend her legs and sit down! Many fun ways to pose her. All of the three pets available at the big-box stores. Great idea! I just wish they were more readily available to the general public. Grade A

I wanted to add to this review, since DD just received this set. The dog is darling and it's magnet is very strong. I also like how it comes with the cute pink purse in place of the purple bones that all of the dogs directly from AG come with. DD had a blast coloring the doghouse and decorating it with stickers. She used the letter stickers to put her dog's name on the house and "food" and "water" on the dishes. The only negative is that the roof does not have tabs to connect it to the house. The instructions say to just place it on top. I fixed this problem with some hot glue, but it is strange that it does not connect. To connect the front piece to the house, I folded in the tabs and stapled them to the house. The book it comes with has lots of cute craft ideas to make additional items for the dog. This is a great purchase, with tons of extras!

I purchased this set several weeks ago but didn't get a chance to write a review. I think it's a great set! I didn't put together the little house yet, but the food bowls are quite nice. I was impressed with the quality of the book- it has a lot of fun crafts and ideas.
The dog is well-made. My one reservation is that the snout is very broad and looks odd without the magnet attached. I did buy the jeweled pet collar for the Pom and it fits very well.
Grade: A- due to strange snout!

I went to Costco with a friend at work to purchase this cute pup since I don't have a membership. I love the Pomeranian but agree the snout looks a bit long. Mine is shedding when I took it out of the box. I am not too worried about it since it will basically be display only here. I took it out at work and everyone loved it, even those who know nothing about AG. I really don't have an interest in the book or doghouse so I can't comment on them because I haven't really looked at them. Overall I give the set an A. Much better value with the extras than the pets direct from AG.

I also picked up this set recently at my BJ's. It was priced $28.99, and the stock was pretty depleted. I can't quite bring myself to pay $28 for the new pets from AG, but with the extra activity book, dishes, and crafts, I think the set is worth it.
This is my first hard-bodied pet, but it seems to work well. The size seems reasonable next to the doll scale wise. The magnet works well, though I wish they did not try to emphasize the dog as a princess/queen so much based on the activity book.
Overall, I give it an A.
