This revised version of Samantha's dog, Jip, was released in 2014 under the BeForever branding, and retired in 2017.
Samantha's Dog, Jip Samantha gets plenty of excitement when Jip, a playful and energetic mixed breed pup, comes into her life.Samantha's Dog, Jip Item# BKD43 Samantha adores this sweet cocker spaniel dog from the moment she lays eyes on him. Just don’t let him steal her shoes again! $22 I love this dog and give him an A+! Mine is cuter than the stock photos. He's posed to be sitting. He is soft and cuddly without a hard frame. Admittedly, his tail is bit oversized and stumpy. His feet/underfluff His eyes are stitched, as is his nose. He has brown eyes (black center, dark brown ring, lighter brown outer ring) He is similar in size to the poseable pets.

The post above represents the best looking Jip dog. I was at the store with my DD and she saw him on display. He was absolutely darling! When I went to purchase him I checked the box and took out Jip. He looked NOTHING like the display. He was absolutely horrid looking. So, I asked the manager if he would allow me to check another box. He sat there with me opening each and every box (several) and the only Jip that was adorable was the display. He agreed and all the other employees were astonished at the quality difference as well. He sold me the display! I don't know what's going on with Jip's quality right now but I would strongly recommend picking this dog out in person.

I was in an AG store yesterday and was totally shocked at the Jips. Even the display ones looked off! Particularly, the eyes were strangely elongated.

I hand selected my Jip II in store during December of 2014. I love the one I found. As noted above (and as a general precaution with all of the stuff animals from AG) there is a fair amount of variation and I prefer to pick them out when possible in the the store. The Jip II dogs available for purchase looked almost nothing like the catalog picture of Jip II and even in store there were a lot of funny-faced Jip IIs. The pup is nicely fluffy and plush and is a lovely mussy contrast to Samantha's fine and frilly wardrobe. Everyone needs a little bit of fluffy chaos in their life and Samantha certainly deserves her spot of joy. I really enjoy the new plushy and furry design of Jip. I give Jip II an A.

Updating again to add some particularly scary in store pictures! If you need Jip, definitely select him in person, so that you don't end up with... This very frazzled dog: or, worse, this one that looks particularly evil: These were display dogs and it was striking how bad they were, especially compared to my adorable version in the first post!
