It should be noted that while this set is still currently available (as of my writing this in mid-October 2014) - you sure wouldn't know that by going to the AG website! It doesn't show up in any of the accessory search links and even if you try typing in "seaside" or "tote" to the search function, you get SQUAT! I don't know if they just plain forgot about this item or if they are preferring that folks think it sold out along with the Beach Chair, Sunny Isle outfit and in-store-purchase-only Cabana which were all three wildly popular and apparently a potential new trend in AG seasonal product stocking; rather than sticking around for up to two years, all three of the afore-mentioned items were sold out within 2-3 months of being released. Back to the Seaside Tote Set - A++++
The construction of this product set is PHENOMENAL! The hat is incredibly well-crafted and fits on the doll in an almost bespoke tailored fashion! Seriously, it is just lovely! I chose to remove the pink ribbon from my hat so that it might lend itself more easily to mix-and-match potential and it was perfectly fuss-free to do so. Plus, I can still really easily slide the ribbon back on and it looks just as it did when it first arrived home.
The bracelet is TO DIE FOR! I, personally, adore doll-jewelery. While items such as the recent 3-in-1 plastic ring set is jaw-droppingly hideous (IMO), I adore stuff like Saige's ring, dangling earrings and bracelets. This multi-colored, tropical hued item is just as well constructed and it truly looks beautiful on every doll I've tried it out on.
The TOTE!!! OMG!!!! I cannot express enough how freaking AWESOME this tote is! Beautifully constructed (I know I sound like a broken record - but it's all TRUE) with fantastic attention to detail! The rope handles are EXQUISITE!!! I would really encourage folks to grab this set before it actually DOES sell out! Not much left (especially accessory-wise) at American Girl selling for only $24...
Lip balm - meh. It's a little plastic tube of pretend lip balm. Not much else to say, but I suppose it's nice to have something to stick in your little tote! It's hard plastic all the way around.
