Grace's petite cheinne (little girl dog) is just adorable, although I am going to exchange mine. She is the perfect size for the doll, although I wish she were poseable like the newer AG pets. She sits. Period. I ordered mine via internet, so didn't have a chance to check out any others, but mine came with the lining of one ear very noticeably different from the other. The color is a grungy pinkish grey looking compared to the pretty light pink of the other ear. It's the ear that has the black satin bow SEWN to it, so maybe that somehow discolored it? I'm hoping to find one with two nice pink ears. And about that bow...I will be cutting it off immediately, and attaching a clear band so Bonbon can still wear it but without it causing pain! The ASPCA should be after AG for this one as it's setting a terrible example. (I admit it's really cute though!)

trvllin, are Bonbon's eyes sewn/embroidered, or are they the hard plastic button-type 'marble' eyes?

Grace's French Bulldog Item# CGD19 $22 Grace names this adorable black-and-white puppy “Bonbon.” She has a cuddly body and a cute embroidered face, and wears a chic black hairbow under one ear. Her collar and leash are red grosgrain with white stitching, and the leash folds up into a bow that’s held in place by a strap on the collar.
What a cute little doggie! It's a great idea that her leash can fold up into a bow on her collar. That way she can 'play' without dragging her leash behind her. But she is only in a sitting position, so she cannot go for a walk. Not that she would be able to with the short, short leash! As you can see in one of my photos, if Grace is holding the leash, all Bonbon can do is sit!
Her face is completely embroidered on. So no worries about losing any eyes or nose with this sweet pup!
And her right ear pink-lining seems to look like it's grayer than her left ear lining. I believe that's just because her right ear is black and the pink lining is thin enough that the black shade comes through making that ear lining look grayer.
The left ear is white so the pink lining shows the brightness of the white background making it seem a brighter pink. The ears are both lined with the exact same pink fabric.
I believe every Bonbon I saw in the store has the same grey tint illusion. And there were a lot of Bonbons on display!
Here's a good close-up of her sweet face (ag.com photo)
And a couple of our photos:
ETA: I did take the bow off of her right ear. WARNING - it isn't a bow but a piece of folded ribbon sewn to her head. Cutting it off makes it no longer a bow. But if you're handy, you can fold it back on the creases and sew it into a bow shape. I did that, then sewed it to a clear elastic and put it on her left ear. I like the contrast much better on the left (white) side!

Her collar and leash are red grosgrain with white stitching, and the leash folds up into a bow that’s held in place by a strap on the collar.Plush, soft bodied, and cute! Her black satin hair bow is probably removable with a seam ripper, but no guarantees on how well the bow or Bonbon's forehead would survive. Her collar is also attached, but this is probably permanent unless someone was a very dedicated seamstress or tailor! The accordion folds of the decorative bow on her collar is also a leash. The leash is secured as a bow under the velcro tab (under the bow's "knot") when not in use. Look at her face! I find Bonbon to have one of the most expressive faces of all the AG furry pets--there was never a question of her coming home with us! While the non-removable hair bow and collar could be annoying, especially for customizations, as part of Grace's canon world, Bonbon is an A+.

Sunkist...her eyes are stitched into her face, not buttons sewn on. It doesn't sound particularly appealing but I am amazed at the character they have in them! She has an adorable expression. I just wish she were poseable and that her ears were both the same color inside. American Girl Rescue may be right about this disparity being normal; I just didn't think the pink fabric being that thin. I will wait until I can see more in person before attempting an exchange.

Dog. I really like that the leash folds up. But other than that I don't have much critique, I don't buy AG pets.

Not the cutest of the AG pets. The embroidered eyes give her a rather flat expression. the fact the leash folds up is cute though.
