The big thing I like about the Wellie Wisher line is that everything seems so well designed and easy to use. The Winter Friends Skating Outfit is no exception!
The outfit consists of five pieces: a berry-colored jacket, light blue pants, white skates with pink accents, white mittens and a white headband.
Headband: This is the only piece I didn't use, as I liked Emerson's hair in the meet-style. It is well-made out of thick 'cuddle cloth' material.
Jacket: The jacket is made from a scroapy material- maybe taffeta - in a berry color. If you have Emerson, it matches the hair bands and 'poofs' from her meet outfit. Anywhoo, it pulls on like a, well, jacket, and closes with a piece of velcro that runs length-wise down the front of the jacket. It was very easy to put on and close, but my Em has easy-to-move joints.
Pants: The pants are made from a light blue nylon-like material, with embroidered silver snowflakes down the outside of the legs. They have an elastic waist. Once again, they were easy to put on, but Em has no joint issues.
Skates: The skates are made of plastic with the details painted on. I question the longevity of the paint, but we shall see. Each skate has two blades, so it's easier for the doll to stand. I was a little worried about these, as the opening looks kinda small, but they slipped on without issue.
Mittens: The mittens are made of the same white 'cuddle cloth' as the headband, but they are embroidered with little black bunny(?) faces. There are no pockets for fingers or thumbs, just one big open space to put the Wellie Wishers' hand in. I will admit I had a little trouble getting these on - they kept getting tangled in her fingers! However, I think this was user-error and not the fault of the product. Once again, they were very well made.
Overall, it's a darling outfit for the Wellie's that fits perfectly and is well made.
