The Logan doll I picked up today on his first release day at the Natick store has the original body and torso with the darts, hard limbs and head, and his wig is quite poufy. He comes with a button up shirt that you can really button (not velcro), a t-shirt, dark chinos with cuffs at the bottom ,boxer briefs, and slip on sneakers (no socks). His hair is tapered in the back. I think he's quite cute, I give him an A.

Does his cloth body canvas fabric feel the same thickness/quality as prior dolls? Someone else complained it seemed thinner or even slightly see through. ETA. It just seems one of the more unfortunate fallouts of the rolling torso and perma-panty changes, regardless if AG returns back to the old classic dart style or keeps moving forward with their changes, is that collectors photos are going to be featuring nude or perma-panty rump shots of their dolls in perpetuity. Because now all doll bodies are not really made the same and 2017 is a pivot year for significant body design changes. Doubly so when selling on the secondary market. Comical if only not so frustrating at the same time. The cloth body is the same as the Mattel one they've been using since the first changeover years ago from the really thick and hearty ones of more "Pleasant "days. in any case my Logan is still all the same but that's not to say that there aren't already Logans with the changes out there.

My Logan arrived today. I am in love with this guy. He's so cute!!! However he did arrive damaged. He had a pull in his torso. I do not intend to exchange or return him though. Here are some pictures. I love his meet outfit too. He came out of his box with ease. This is the pull in his torso. I'm glad I made the tie he's wearing last night. Because I wouldn't have had had one for him if I hadn't. He holds other instruments with ease.

I purchased the Logan doll at Tenney Grant's collection debut on 2/16/17. Logan Everett is AG's first 18" boy doll and the second doll to use the Kaya mold. He has gray eyes and short brown hair. There is some length on the front of the wig and it is tapered in the back. I didn't notice much variation in the face paint and eyes among the selection of dolls at the store. They all had uniformly placed eyebrows and forward glancing eyes. However, the quality of the wigs varied quite a bit from full on pompadours to deflated school boy side parts. I chose one in between the extremes. The facial coloring is a bit drab for my taste and I think the doll appears almost sick when displayed next to the other dolls. I decided to darken his eyebrows by simply going over the existing lines with Prismacolor pencil, which did liven up his face and added an assertiveness that I found lacking. The new hand sculpts on Logan and Tenney are identical, with the right hand in a grip and the left splayed open. The Meet outfit consists of a blue and green plaid button up cotton shirt (the fabric is NOT flannel), graphic T shirt, gray boxer briefs, skinny black jeans with front and rear pockets, and gray sneakers. Nice quality overall except for the excessively glossy print on the T shirt, which looks tacky. The white velcro closure on the jeans show through at some angles and probably should have been black. Logan is priced similarly to Tenney yet does not come with any book or accessory. The doll really should have come with additional pieces to increase the purchase value (maybe a pair of socks, a watch, a backpack, or a CD of Tenney's songs?). His brushable hair can be styled in marginally different looks: (L to R) Clean side part, Tousled up, Superman curl Logan showing off some outfits. Darkened eyebrows in the photo on the left. I'm thinking about adding some blushing over the bridge of the nose to even out the facial contrast Logan next to Kaya. It's the same sculpt and is stamped "Pleasant Company 2002".

That's interesting because I have picked out and purchased four Logan's for myself and friends, and I found that with few exceptions they all looked good. There were a couple in the store that I thought that the wig looked a little strange or had a tilted or wonky eye but far less than the usual process of selecting a doll at the store.

My Logan is one of those four picked out by Cyn and I'm absolutely thrilled with him! His outfit is quite detailed compared to some other recent ones - working buttons and buttonholes on shirt and cuffs, real pockets on shirt and jeans. His vinyl feels nice and isn't squishy and he has good weight and balance.
I really like his hands and that they can hold not just his drum sticks but other instruments.
I will add photos once I have resized them.

I will add pictures later.
I was very back and forth on buying Logan. Eveuntally I decided to purchase him and I believe he will go back. He has the "lesser" of the two meets and has wig issues. AG Seattle did not have many Logan's and each of which had some sort of large flaw. This is defintley a doll you should pick out in person.
