I really like this outfit. It's not tight on my doll, but would be on a chubbier PM doll. (Julia is an average sized Mattel girl!) The best part of the shirt in my opinion is there is no Velcro! It buttons up the front and is very on trend. Fabric is normal thickness and quality, non-stretch cotton blend.
The pants are very similar fabric to Logan's - much more than "a bit" of stretch for sure. They fit snugly and are super cute on the doll. I'm not wild about the print but it's definitely appropriate for her age. The fabric has a very nice weight, not thin at all.
The headband is nothing special - stretch elastic all the way around. The color picks up the color in the shoes as well as her backpack, so it helps pull together the collection in a non-matchy way.
The shoes are cute too, but I actually had to untie them to get them on the doll. That part is fine but the shoestrings are pretty short and were a little hard to tie once I had them on her.
Overall grade is an A, minor deduction only for short laces. The outfit was not sewn into the package, but it does come in the new packaging that is taped shut and has a hook for hanging.
I got this outfit in the mail today and love it to bits. I love the basic-ness of it. The pants are high-waisted (think 90's AG pants) with pockets in the back; the shirt does not have velcro, it actually buttons. The color scheme mixes well with Lanie's collection and also with the previous Mix and Match set. Nothing was sewn in on my set, the shoes were behind plastic, and the plastic was attached with tape to the back. Grade: A+
