Overall: I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of several of the pieces, and appreciate that most of them are in-scale for the doll. Some of them have a bit of a plasticky look (which arguably is realistic for what they represent). Overall I'm pleased with the set, but I would've liked to pay less than $34 for it.
Case: This is a cute little canvas case in-scale for the doll. I like the soothing light blue-green color. My only complaint is that the strap is a single strip of ribbon, which seems flimsy compared to the rest of the case.
Nail polish: This metallic gold nail polish is a good color on Gabby. The instructions say, of course, to have an adult apply the nail polish, and it does seem like it might be a challenging task for the target age to paint such itty bitty nails. The bottle lists an expiration date of December 2018. This is not in-scale for the doll; the upside is that you get more nail polish.
Headband: I was surprised by the quality--this is braided from strips of a shimmery faux leather/vinyl-like material and contrasts nicely with Gabriela's hair.
Ponytail holder: Again, very nice quality--the flower is made of a thick suede-textured fabric with punch-out details and looks great in Gabby's hair.
Compact: I love how the "makeup" part is textured. The outside of the case works like a mirror, while the mirror inside is a close-up mirror. I like how it's in-scale for the doll. It doesn't snap shut, though, and has a bit of a plasticky look.
Brush: I liked this more than I was expecting. The brush is very soft and it's a darling, perfectly-scaled accessory.
Bobby pins: Cute, but these are thicker and stiffer than human-sized bobby pins, and I'm afraid they will ruin Gabriela's hair if I actually try to use them. I like the colors and designs, but the decorations have a bit of a plasticky look.
Hair pick: I haven't actually tried this on Gabby's hair yet, but I like that it's actually in-scale for the doll. It seems sturdily constructed, but the handle has a bit of a plasticky look.
