I ordered this outfit last Nov or Dec, but I hadn't gotten around to doing a review. CYO Space Cowboy outfit 1 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The design was inspired by Nsync's song Space Cowboy. I made it using the Luciana theme. CYO Space Cowboy outfit 2 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The shirt is made from that sports jersey fabric. The fabric does have some dimpling to give it texture, but from a distance it just looks like a full graphic tee. The shorts are made out of athletic nylon. CYO Space Cowboy outfit 3 by Elizabeth, on Flickr Lining up the words as I put the shirt on Lanie was a bit tricky. I had to start at the hyphen in the second line and work my way out from there. CYO Space Cowboy outfit 4 by Elizabeth, on Flickr I loved getting to design my own socks! AG has been skimping on the socks so much in recent years. I wish I could order just the socks. I'd design them in a bunch of different colors and patterns. CYO Space Cowboy outfit 5 by Elizabeth, on Flickr The headband is that elastic ribbon that they've been using. The ends velcro together instead of being sewn together.

This is my first time buying one of these CYO outfits. I’m pretty satisfied with how it came out and I would consider purchasing another. The shorts are made out of nylon fabric with an embroidered star on the front. They’re very well made. I chose the AG 1986 theme. My design isn’t cohesive. I was just looking to get a couple of modern clothing pieces inspired by the historical dolls I own... Molly and Addy. My sister owns Samantha so I chose that pattern for the headband. For the jersey, I used the pattern from the ribbon on Addy’s Meet bonnet. It came out a lot darker than I thought it would. The pattern is also scaled a bit larger when compared to that on the bonnet’s ribbon. Because of the pattern I chose, you can hardly tell that it is supposed to be a jersey. It looks more like a regular blouse/top. Molly’s argyle sweater pattern was perfect for the socks. It even has the faux knit detail that makes it look like real knitted socks. The pattern is scaled smaller when compared to 18” Molly’s sweater. But it is the exact same scale as mini Molly’s sweater. The inside of the socks are white, so I’m thinking there’s no chance of dye transferring onto your doll. Please excuse these messy shoe laces. Last but not least, I used Samantha’s Meet dress pattern for the headband. I think the headbands could have been made a little bit longer. It stretches a little, but it’s still a tight fit around the doll’s head. I might sew a piece of elastic to mine just to lengthen it a bit. I don’t have a photo comparing this to Samantha’s dress. I’d have to borrow my sister’s Sam for that.
