This set includes cropped top and shorts, green sandals, and plumeria flower.
The cropped top looks really short when you first put it on Nanea, but it's balanced out by the high-waisted shorts.
The shorts were a pain-in-the-behind (pun intended!) to pull on. They don't have velcro, just elastic in the back. They might be easier to slip on if you remove Nanea's underwear, but still, they're pretty tight. Because of the shorts, I wouldn't give this outfit to a little kid, as I fear that too much tugging would lead to rips. I don't even know if I'd want her to sit in those bottoms. Like I said, they're tight!
The sandals have cute little heart details.
I really love the plumeria flower, which is made of fabric. I'm glad Nanea finally got a plumeria!

I agree the shorts are hard to get on. But when they're on, wow! Very cute outfit. I don't have Nanea, so Z is modeling it today. I love the fabric, the style, and the flower clip. I like the color of the sandals, but the design and execution leave a bit to be desired for me.
My AG dolls: Melecia (#26), (#55), Zipporah (#58), Ingrid (#22), Coffy (#57), Emma (Z), Dusty (#39), Zara (#28), Eva (Ivy), Hope (PC Molly), Arie (#24), Marta (#49), Georgiana (#32), Isobel (#82), Serena (Bitty Twin).
Nanea’s mom made most of her clothes. She often used palaka, a traditional Hawaiian checkered fabric that was easy to find on the islands.
This outfit includes: A cropped top with a bow at the sweetheart neckline High-waisted shorts with front pleats and wide legs Green sandals with crisscross ankle straps and cutout hearts A faux plumeria flower clip for her hair
I think this outfit is adorable, and I was happy to find it still on a shelf at a Chapters Indigo store on a trip to Canada after it had officially retired.
Here’s my new-to-me Jess wearing it:
I really like the palaka design and how it matches the handbag and pouch in the accessories set. The top has a cute sweetheart neckline and attaches with Velcro in the back. The palaka pattern matches up when it's closed. The shorts are pleated in the front and have an elastic waistband in the back, with no Velcro. Mine pulled on easily, so I don’t know if the fit varies according to the shorts or according to the doll, but mine needed no tugging to get onto Jess. I agree with woodnearathens about the cute heart detail on the sandals, but with islandgirls about their quality. The straps were getting twisted and pulled when I put them on, and I don’t think they’d hold up to a lot of play. I like the flower clip.
