Truly Me #68 came preloved from ebay and has the old body fabric with a zip tie, and pinwheel eyes. She came in the current Truly Me meet outfit (dress, blue jacket, molded shoes). Comparison pics of Truly Me #68 and #59 (different mold), as I think their eyes and hair are very similar. Comparison with Truly Me #28. Josefina mold variations aside, these two dolls look different to me. Also, their eyes are different shades of brown - #68 has the dark brown colour (as does #59) and #28's brown has a "reddish" tint to it. And here are the three together - Truly Me #59, #68 and #28 : I do find #68's lip paint to be darker than my other dolls. I think this may be the "new AG" way of painting dolls, I don't think my other dolls are that faded ?

It took me three tries to find a #68 with a tolerable wig. Three out of the four dolls I've seen in person had wigs that were defectively thin--bald spots and no coverage of the wig cap in back or on the sides with almost randomly placed shorthairs. The thinness can make the wig appear even wispy. I'm glad I was finally able to find one with an acceptable wig because this is a really pretty doll. Hair: Very thin, very fine, lies flat, very glossy, snags easily, extremely layered with choppy layers around the face. I would say the cut is even more layered than #27, as a comparison. The color is a gorgeous acorn brown with golden highlights. I love the style but I haven't tried to do much with it yet and imagine that pigtail braids will be impossible due to the layers. B Face: Gorgeous, with soft coloring and bright peachy lips. Mine has the new, downward-looking eyes--they're straight!--a chubby face, and slightly "worried" eyebrows. Very cute. A Body: The new thin body cloth with real panties. I gave mine a body swap right away. C Vinyl: New, not squishy. It has a pearly sheen that almost makes me think of wax and old Victorian dolls. It is so pretty that when I did the body swap I kept the limbs she came with. A This doll has such a sweet, modern, little-girlish appearance. Mine is a little bit shy. Style-wise I think she likes pretty, girly ensembles. I'm looking forward to trying her in different outfits! She has a very feminine appearance, and I like the contrast between her hair/eyes and skin color. Overall grade: B. If the quality was better, I'd give her an A.
