Released in 2017, retired in 2018.
Includes red and green plaid print dress with buckled red belt at waistline, red hairbow, pair of white tights, black shoes.http://instagr.am/p/BsBcjsKgRh1 I've been waffling on this dress for over a year. I like it, but not on Kit. And my Kit already has her red Christmas dress. I thought about getting it for Ruthie or Nanea, but I wasn't in any big hurry. This month it was on sale for $25 instead of $36 and I had $20 in rewards, but I was still waffling. I've never had more than $10 in rewards so I wanted to think long and hard about what I spent it on. I spent a couple weeks waffling between Kit's dress and Nanea's radio. I finally decided on the dress because if I didn't love it, I wouldn't be out a lot of money. (With shipping and tax the dress was less than $12.) But by the time I made my decision I was shocked to see that it gone from the website. I had to track one down and order it from the LA store. But I'm so glad I did! The dress is stunning on Nanea! And the quality is what you would expect from AG. It's well worth full price.

I'm glad I picked it up at the mattel shop since it's not on the website anymore. On one hand I love the cut as it's classic dress style for the era and Kit needs more dresses cut like this. The other hand I felt it was cheap of them to retire Addy's plaid holiday dress and drop this one. I give it a B mostly due to fit, it's limited to newer doll body shape. It's a really cute dress but I can tell it is not going to fit my PC kit well at all which is fine, she has her red dress and this can be for Lily here. The tights are made for newer dolls and will not fit older plumb dolls. Samantha shown for example. Lily in stockings: Samantha in stockings busting at the seams: Close up of shoes, a solid stable to kit's wardrobe:

I bought this when it was on sale earlier this year. I loved it as an alternative to the original Christmas dress and had been a little sad when I missed it the first time around, so I was very pleased when it came up for sale when the BeForever line was being phased out. Dress – A+The dress is made of a flannel-like material in a very festive plaid. I Love the colours – not too girly, but still very cute and obviously holiday-themed. It's a good contrast to the first Christmas dress. The style feels authentic, but I’m not an expert. I absolutely love the little caplet, white collar, and four red buttons (done in accent red). The belt is made of a red silky fabric. It feels like it would snag easily, but the Velcro is no-snag, so this hopefully won’t be a concern. I do wonder how it will hold up to play. It's sewn in, which means there's no need to tie or fasten it. I hate the plastic tag, but won’t hold it against the dress. Tights – A+These are typical AG tights. They feel thick and like they’ll hold up well to play. Very versatile. Shoes – A-The shoes are a shiny pleather, no heels, and close with a no-snag Velcro closure. They look quite sharp. I wish that they had snaps instead of Velcro, but I like them overall. They feel like a classic part of Kit’s wardrobe. Unfortunately, I found them to be very difficult to get on – they’re slightly too small and tend to catch the tights on the Velcro. Hair bow – AA very basic hair bow – a silky satin ribbon tied onto a stretchy hairband. Good Value?I think so. I got it for $25 or so on sale. Had I paid the full $36, I might give it a harder look in comparison to the original red dress, but there are enough pieces (dress, shoes, tights – a full outfit) and the quality is high enough that I’m very satisfied for the price I paid. Overall – A+I think this looks really cute on Kit. I actually kind of like it better than her red dress (for whatever reason, mine fits my Kit oddly, even though it was purchased the same year I got Kit). I was really surprised that it fit my PC Kit so well! The sleeves are a little short and I can’t figure out if that’s intentional or not, but I like the rest of the outfit enough that it doesn’t bother me. The style feels unique to her collection, yet appropriate to her time period. I think it’d be difficult to use outside of Christmas because the theming is pretty strong in the colours, but I love it as an alternate Christmas dress. Pardon the fresh-out-of-the-box wrinkles 😉
