The Horse Care Accessories set includes a faux hay bale, grooming mitt, comb, spray bottle, tube of ointment, apple, and carryall. AG hit the mark on a couple items, but really missed the mark on a few others.
The hay bale has the look and feel of a natural product, without the risk of having pieces break off. It feels like the inside is a rectangle of foam, cover in faux woven hay that looks a lot like a tatami or rattan mat material. Ivory cotton cord ties securely around the middle. I'm so happy that this piece is not a hunk of plastic. The grooming mitt is adequate and fits a doll hand well. It provides good play value along with the tube of ointment. The cap actually screws off the tube, and there is a little squirt hold in the tube, just like a real one. The leg wrap is nothing special. It has one piece of hook-and-loop material at the end, and that is supposed to adhere to the elastic wrap after putting it on the horse. It does not appear to adhere well and leaves snags. The blue spray bottle really works, but the scale also seems off on this. IMHO, it should be larger.
The real disappointments are the apple (way off scale -- huge!), and the comb (flimsy, cheap plastic).
Aside from the spray bottle and hay bale, most of this set seems on par with the My Life As accessories that sell for significantly less. My youngest dd wanted this and is mostly happy with it. She was envious of her sister's Felicity Colonial Stable set (hard to measure up to that). All in all, I give this set a B-.
