“Kira loves sharing her Comfy Platform Tent in the bush camp with Alexis, whose family lives at the Bailey Wildlife Sanctuary too. When they head to bed, she wears these PJs with pictures of one of her favorite Aussie animals. Her short-sleeved green knit pajama top has a fuzzy graphic koala on the front, and her jogger-style knit pants feature an allover koala print. Also includes fuzzy faux-fur koala slippers.”
SKU# GVF46 $24
These are some really cute jammies, and although I don’t have Kira, I decided that Gabriela could use them to ring in the new year!
The top is a short sleeve mint color with koala graphics on the front and a Velcro closure up the back. The graphic has two koalas and some eucalyptus leaves. It’s fuzzy and kind of thick, so the shirt doesn’t easily fold there.
The knit pants have a cute coordinating print: a white background with black outlines of koala faces and mint green eucalyptus leaves scattered throughout. I guess they’re called “jogger style” because of the mint green waistband and ankle cuffs. There’s also a pretend drawstring at the waist, tied and sewn in a bow. I think the pants look good with the top and are easy to get on and off, even though there’s not a lot of extra fabric there. They fit my Gabriela well, but the back just barely covers her bum. I don’t think these pajama pants would work for the older PC dolls who tend to run larger.
And then there’s the slippers, those adorable koala slippers. They are so soft, covered with soft furry fabric inside and out, and even the bottoms. They’re grey on the outside and white on the inside and seem very cozy; it’s too bad the human pajamas don’t come with these slippers, too. I didn’t see a real distinction with left and right slippers - they looked pretty much the same to me, except that one has a label inside. They fit nicely; it takes just enough work to get them on so that you can feel confident that they won’t slip off easily without noticing. I like the slippers a lot.
Overall, I’d give Kira’s jammies an easy A for cuteness and price, keeping in mind that they seem sized for the current AG dolls (and not the bigger PC dolls of the past).
